Round 1 on ANZAC day

There have been some concerns voiced by parents of BJFC players with regards to the seasoner opener being played on ANZAC day. The DDJFL has consulted with the state branch of the RSL and local sub branches and the RSL doesn't want to discourage junior sport being played on the day. If people wish to go and acknowledge ANZAC Day in other ways with their families, the Beaconsfield Junior Football Club respects there decision to do so. The DDJFL is working closely with the state branch of the RSL to make sure that there is the appropriate respect and recognition on the day.

Coaching Appointments announced for season 2010

It is with great pleasure the committee welcomes the newly appointed Coaches for season 2010, and wishes them a very enjoyable season.

Thank you to every person who applied for a coaching position, as these positions are of a one season tenure you are welcome to apply again for season 2011.

Unfortunately after many requests, no coaching applications have been received for U15 Gold, U13 Gold and U10 Gold. These teams are unable to function in season 2010 without the benefit of a Coach.

BJFC now finds it's self in unfamiliar territory and will be forced to advertise these positions outside the club, unless of course, there are parents willing to come forward NOW and apply for one of these coaching positions.

Any parents wishing to volunteer their services to such a rewarding role please contact Glenn Lynch ASAP on 0419 191 174 or by email at: footballoperationsmanager@beaconsfieldjfc.com.au

Extract from the Presidents report for 2009

2009 was again an excellent year for the Beaconfield JFC. As a Club we were the leaders in the DDJFL in a number of areas, most pleasing is the behaviour of both our players and parents, as we only have to switch on the nightly news or open the daily paper to see what can happen in Clubs where discipline problems exist. This is the direct result of the uncompromising stance that has been taken at the Club over the previous few years in regards to discipline and behaviour and the standards that are expected at our Great Club

The Club offers a huge Thank You to all our Committee Members, including the Social Committee. And a massive Thank You to all our Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, Trainers, runners, helpers ect, ect. Without these people VOLUNTEERING their time, we could not possibly have a Club as big and successful as we have at present. The challenge we now face is to encourage people to help out where possible in whatever capacity that they can, Season 2010 is just around the corner.
